Golfademics 2007 Tour

Greetings from
the Executive Director

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to John Simpkins, Don Triveline and Kristin Dougherty for their service and leadership as president, vice president and treasurer, respectively. The organization has benefited greatly from their expertise and leadership. Their efforts are reflected in the smiles of so many youth. Kristin, we wish you the best with your new life, as a mother.

I wish to welcome our new board members and I look forward to the challenges, directions and spirit that the following individuals will bring to our mission. David Rutledge, President, Nick Collins, Vice President and Willie Busby, Treasurer. John Simpkins will remain, active as a Trustee and I am appreciative for his leadership during the transition.

It would be hard to elaborate the many new initiatives and actions that have taken place in the last three months with our new leadership. Our primary mission is to ensure that golf is affordable and accessible to all youth. We have received notice and intent from corporations, businesses and organizations that they will continue and/ or join us in our mission.

As The Executive Director, my goal and actions this year will be to secure long-term funding so that every kid participating this year will pay little or no money for local tour/world championship participation, as well as provide instructions for as long as they are involved.

I wish to acknowledge our continued support from The USGA, LPGA, AAWGA, TCF Bank and The MPGA. I look forward to working with our new affiliates and sponsors: The CKG Tour, Play it Again Sports, Paragon Golf and Ray Florian, Inc.

“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”.

Charles Douglass,
Executive Director
